FMB Thaali Days:

Currently thaali is scheduled for

  • Monday
  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday

If there is a jamaat event at Masjid, thaali is not distributed.

FMB-LA Nizaam:

  1. It is important that you have at least 2 sets of tiffins.
  2. If you do not have at least 2 sets of tiffins, kindly contact Shk.  Feroz bhai Engineer at 818-620-8038 or ferozengineer@yahoo.com. Currently, hoob rakam for each tiffin is $20.00
  3. Tiffin drop-off time is 8 am on the day of your thaali. For example, if you receive thaali on a Tuesday, than kindly make sure that your empty tiffin is in mawaid kitchen by 8 am on Tuesday. If your tiffin is not in mawaid kitchen by 8 am, jaman will not be cooked [for you].
  4. You must pick-up your filled tiffin from mawaid kitchen on the day of your thaali. Pick-up time is any time after 3 pm. If you need assistance in accessing masjid complex and/or mawaid kitchen, contact Shk. Feroz bhai Engineer at 818-620-8038
  5. To register for faiz  thaali or to temporarily put hold on thaali, or to change jaman quantity, etc.  contact Shk. Hussain bhai jamali at 805-404-6824 or hjamali52@hotmail.com or simply fill the form provided below
  6. Jaman quantity is cook based on number of registered families receiving thaali. In order to minimize any leftovers it is very important that you inform faiz in advance if you are not going to pick your thaali. You are requested to contact Shk. Hussain bhai Jamali at 805-404-6824 or hjamali52@hotmail.com by Saturday evening if you are not planning to receive thaali on any day during the following week. For example, if you are regularly receiving thaali on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are not planning to pick your thaali on Thursday then inform Shk. Hussain bhai Jamali by Saturday evening of the prior week.
  7. Faiz understands that sometimes there are unexpected last minute changes. If for some reason you will not be able to pick your thaali on your registered day and if you were not able to inform Shk. Hussain bhai Jamali than contact Mulla Qutbuddin (Qutub) bhai at 818-808-8743. We request that you call Mulla Qutub bhai by 7 am on the day you are not planning to receive your thaali. After 7 am pakaavanu will start. Please note that this option is only for emergency last minute situations.

  9. If you have any question regarding hoob rakam contact Hamida ben Surti at 818-644-1966 or hamida_surti@yahoo.com. You can give your hoob rakam to Janab Aamil saheb Mukerram bhaisaheb or Janab Aamir bhaisaheb. If not feasible to give it to either sahebo you may give it to Shk. Feroz bhai Engineer, Shk. Juzer bhai Saifee, or Hamida ben Surti.

  • Empty Tiffin Drop-off: By 8:00 am on the day of thaali
  • Filled Tiffin Pick up: After 3:00 pm but before midnight on the day of thaali

FMB-LA Historical Background:

  • FMB rasam in Los Angeles started on the auspicious occasion of the Urs Mubarak raat of Syedi Abdul Qadir Hakimuddin Maula in 2011.
  • Aamil Saheb Janab Turab Bhai Saheb Hatimi distributed FMB tiffins to Mumineen in newly constructed Mawaid Hall.
  • As per Khushi of our Maula TUS, way more than expected families registered in this rasam to receive the Barakaat. Initial goal of at least 21 to 25 families, reached to 49 families registering to receive this Barakaat on the first day of the rasam.
  • Pehlu Jaman for FMB was hosted by Burhani Women Association, Los Angeles. Menu included, Halwo, Seekh and Daal Chaawal.
